We look forward to welcoming you to AAAR's 34th Annual Conference, which will be held at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis, October 12-16, 2015. Listed below is useful information for you as you plan your trip.

The location of the conference will be Hyatt Regency Minneapolis. All conference activities will be held at the hotel.

DIRECTIONS

Taxi Service
Taxis are readily available at the airport. The approximate taxi fare is $50-$60.

Super Shuttle also services Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport through shared ride vans. A round trip to the Hyatt Regency is $34.00 per passenger. A one-way trip is $16 to $18 per passenger. Discounts are available by booking online at http://www.supershuttle.com.


Wi-Fi

AAAR will offer all attendees complimentary Wi-Fi access in the exhibit hall during exhibit hall hours. Look for username and password on signage in the hall.


PROGRAM


NEGOTIATED ROOM CREDIT

In an effort to hold your travel costs down, the AAAR has negotiated a special room credit with the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis. For Hyatt guests, the hotel will be posting a $10 credit per night to your room folio. If you are in a double, triple or quadruple occupancy room and each of the occupants is registered with the hotel, each registrant will receive this $10 per night credit. The credit can be used to offset any charge – room and tax, room service, parking, all hotel food and beverage outlets, etc.

AAAR Young Investigators Workshop

The AAAR Young Investigators Workshop will be held on Monday, October 12, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm in the Regency Room on the second floor of the hotel. We're grateful to Ed Pickens and TSI for their support of this event.


This year's program will examine proposal writing from an industrial perspective and from an academic perspective, and attendees will have a chance to ask questions of our speakers. Pizza and soft drinks will be served.


MORNING BEVERAGES

As in past years, coffee prior to the general sessions will not be provided. There will be coffee breaks after the general sessions (9:15 AM – 9:45 AM) Tuesday through Friday. With the exception of Friday, October 16, all breaks will be located in the Exhibit Hall on the first floor.


WELCOME RECEPTION – TUESDAY – 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

The Welcome Reception will be held in the Exhibit Hall. It will include a complimentary beverage and light refreshments. This offers you an excellent opportunity to view the exhibits, meet with colleagues, and have additional poster viewing time if you desire.


ON-SITE LUNCH OPTIONS

There will be a light take-away lunch provided in the Exhibit Hall on Thursday immediately prior to the poster session. Lunch will be on your own on Monday through Wednesday.


WORKING GROUPS

All attendees are invited to attend the Working Group meetings scheduled on Tuesday, October 13 and Wednesday, October 14. Reference the conference program for the specific times and names of the working groups.


REMINDER TO TUTORIAL PARTICIPANTS

If you are registered to attend a tutorial, an electronic version of the presentation handouts has been provided to you via e-mail. Please remember to print out your handouts before your attend your tutorial session, as they will not be available on site. Those tutorial presenters who did NOT submit handouts for the web posting will have handouts available at the tutorial.
